Visitors need a wide range of things to see and do. The more variety in the area, the better.
This post is recommending the completion of an idea that has been around in Arnbruck for many years, the building of the golf course. It would create employment in construction and upkeep, it would bring more visitors to the area, it would bring additional investment and marketing opportunities.
I know the big problem is finance. My idea is that a company is formed and the shares are available to the farmers, local people and sponsors. This would raise the initial capital. The population would have a vested interest in making it a success, and importantly have a return on capital and increasing stock value. With today's very low interest rates, now is the time to invest and put the money to work.
How to get people interested in the idea? How about an independant referendum of the Bodenmais to Bad Koetzting population? It is a marketing exercise.

A big idea, which will never happen
I dream of the day when the two seperate Deusche Bahn rail lines, one which which finishes at Bad Koetzting, and the other at Bodenmais joined up. A station at Arnbruck and one in Drachselsried would really open up the whole of the Bayerische Wald. But it will never happen. Shame.

Drachselsried now listed in TripAdvisor
Following contact I made to TripAdvisor, there is now a review, photos and a video about Drachselsried. I don't own any visitor amenities, like a hotel or restaurant, but do it for fun, as the village is great place to live. See the Review
This should be a Zellertal wide, co-ordinated approach to promoting the area. I will make further postings soon.

Zellertal in the Bayerischer Wald lives from Tourism
Zellertal is approximately 20Km long and runs from Bodenmais to Bad Koetzting, with Arnbruck and Drachselsried in the middle.. All have their own Tourist Office and just promote their own area.
Zellertal will never realise it's full potential until it markets itself collectively. The idea for this Blog is to post ideas That might find individuals willing to get involved.
